Link is the young hero, and the character you control in The Wind Waker. He lives on Outset Island with his grandmother and younger sister (Aryll). Links leads a fairly ordinary life, but terror strikes when he comes of age. His sister is kidnapped, and it's up to him to save her... but save her from who?
Aryll
Aryll is Link's younger sister. She lives with him and their grandmother on the quiet island of Outset. She looks up to her brother, and gave him her favourite item to borrow on his birthday. Unfortunately, Aryll was captured on that same day by a huge bird, and was taken to the Forsaken Fortress.
The King of Red Lions
The King of Red Lions is a talking boat who saved Link at the Forsaken Fortress. He can take Link across the Great Sea easily, and provides him with plenty of advice and hints. He can communicate with the gods as he has the ability to speak Hylian.
Ganon
This is the same Ganon that was sealed in the Sacred Realm by the Hero of Time. He managed to break out, and wishes to find the lost kingdom of Hyrule. Ganon has the Triforce of Power, so therefore is a deadly foe. He resides in the Forsaken Fortress.
