Spooky...

Postby Chris » Sun Oct 31, 2004 10:53 am

Yup, it's Halloween today. We're armed with plenty of sweets for anybody that knocks on our door, but because nobody came last year, we made sure that this year they're sweets we like. ;)

I was at my gf's yesterday for a Halloween Party. She basically invited 8 or so people from Special Olympics and stuff. It was all good fun :D

Only 4 or 5 people have come over to our house tonight, what a waste of candy! Oh well, at least I had a good Halloween.

People don't seem to care about thanksgiving. (Oh wait, half of you guys don't celebrate it until a differernt time right?)

The Christmas stuff is already out, well It has since Summer, but everyone ususally buys everyhting at the last minute, in fact, people were buying Halloween Candy at 6:00 tonight. (As was I)

In the Netherlands, we don't celebrate halloween with the Trick or Treat stuff. The most we do is place a pumpkin outside, with a candle in it and stuff like that.

I know that it's not safe for a lot of people to participate in Halloween, like my little cousins, they can't go trick-or-treating at all.

Really? Where do you live? Here, even babies go out it like strollers and junk. And when do you celebrate thanksgiving, I do in about 3 weeks.

We had a couple of babies in strollers doing the ToT thing, too. I actually have a pic of one of my forum's supermods going ToTing with a kid that she babysits, too. (It's cute)

Canada had their thanksgiving 3 weeks ago, whereas the US has theirs in three weeks. I've never been able to figure out why Canada's is different, though.

I thought that Canada had their Thankgiving a while ago.

My little cousins live in Maryland, the Southern part isn't safe for halloween at all.

Who here knows that different countries and cultures celebrate Halloween differently?
