Player Vs. Player Arena Reset

Postby Chris » Wed Mar 24, 2004 6:31 pm

Sorry about this... the player vs. player arena developed a bug in its database, so I ran a script to fix the it...

It didn't quite go to plan...

It deleted all the player vs. player battle data, and then re-built the database.

Sorry about this, we'll have to start again in the PvP arena.

Oh... and if you were in the middle of battle, and had equipped some armour, then that armour will be lost forever. If you want your salad bowls etc. back, I'll give you the money to pay for new armour.

Sorry!

Hopefully this won't happen again to any part of the battle system. *Fingers Crossed!*

But does it still show how many battles you have been in?

Basically, I was trying to fix some MySQL tables that were preventing the refuse fighting modification from working properly. However, the script that sould've fixed it had a "feature" which deleted all the PvP data, and re-built the structure from scratch. Strange... :?

i.e. Never trust a script without checking the code first!
