Lufia Music on Keyboard

Postby Guard Daos » Fri Aug 31, 2007 3:03 pm

I've been playing themes from Lufia and other games on piano for a while now, so I thought I might just as well record it. So... let me know what you think.

http://rapidshare.com/files/52476370/keyboard.zip
http://rapidshare.com/files/52476968/keyboard_2.rar

The first one contains:

Sealed Towers
Iris
Saria's Song (Legend of Zelda, obviously)

Second one:

Sealed Towers (Improved version)
Theme of Sorrow
Theme of Sorrow (version which stopped recording right before the end... >_<)
Iris' theme went a bit wrong at times, because I had to use a little trick for that one. And excuse my microphone, it's not great.

Anyway, enjoy. Or not.

Niceness.. you made the occasional slip but hey... I do that all the time :P (I play keyboard/piano as well)

How many piano/keyboards do you have considering you do multiple sound at the same time?

Anyway keep up the good work GD

One. One keyboard. Using the Split Finger option, I recorded different instruments at the same time on my computer using one keyboard. As for the new Sealed Towers version, I recorded the old one on my keyboard, then played it on my keyboard while playing the accompaniment myself and recorded that on my computer. That way, I recorded a piece by three hands, as it were.

Are you sure you didn't clone yourself and the keyboard? :P

Heh, haven't posted in ages. I've got a new keyboard now (Yamaha DGX 300) and I used two better mics. Now let's see how it turned out. It's Zalbak's Final Battle in Hard Rock!

Zalbak's Theme

By the way, Ziffy, want me to send the files to you?

Depends on how big they are, but sure why not. I haven't downloaded your Zalbaks theme from here, but is it the same as the one you emailed me? if so, that was pretty good

Yeah, that's the one. I could send you some of the ones I first posted. They're about the same size.

I don't have a rapid share account, sorry. Maybe you could post some YOUtube videos.

Yay, double post!

So I went and made a new one. This time, it's a new version of Lufia II's opening theme. Enjoy...

Two words... More Pancakes!

Other than that, fix a bit here and there and you'll have it perfect (if not music then the recording). Also, some added instruments would be nice. Not necessarily overdoing it but a little more detail. That's just my opinion.

Have you heard? Opinions are like cow pats and some of them stink!

Who am I kidding... I LOVE IT!!! I hate professional views they ruin everything!

Added instruments means that GD has to be able to play different instruments proficiently (not saying you can't, i wouldn't know). It also means that he's got to layer them well and be in time for each instrument. I reckon you've done an awesome job gd. When's the album coming out?
