General gaming discussions. However, discussions about Lufia, Final Fantasy, Golden Sun, and Zelda should be posted in the dedicated forums.

E3 2011 Press Conference Round Up

Postby DarkMaster2101 » Tue Jun 07, 2011 7:12 pm

Well, the press conferences are over and it's time for review.

Microsoft Press Conference Rating 2/5 **

Their conference was overall, meh. The only games I felt stood out was Sesame Street and Tomb Raider. Other than that they showed off your typical shooters with Kinect integration. Oh and Halo 4. And... That's it.

Sony Press Conference Rating 2/5 **

Playstation Vita Trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RIaJHh60hQY

In the beginning, Sony apologized about the PSN outage. Then they thanked everyone for their support. After that they talked about Uncharted 3. Then they talked about Resistance 3. Then they talked about the God of War Origins and Ico and Shadow of the Collosus collections. Then they showed of the NGP and talked about it. The only real game that stood out is Medival Moves and NBA 2k11 which they talked about while demonstrating. Sony, just let Kevin Butler talk and show us your crap.

Nintendo Press Conference Rating 3/5 ***

Nintendo Wii U (Project Cafe): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4e3qaPg_keg

Oh no! It's not a good score what went wrong? Nintendo stole the show this year again thanks to announcing the Wii U. Unfortunately hard ware is all Nintendo had this year. That doesn't mean it's a bad thing. Also, the Cafe rumors became reality as the control lives up to less than half the rumors. As for games, 3DS 1st party titles were dominant. Titles announced from last year plus Luigi's Mansion 2 and Super MarioP (-Tonooki tail). At least Wii U has a strong third party line up. Now if they can debut with strong launch titles then Wii U should sell.

And those are my opinions about big 3 press conferences. What do you think about this year's conferences. Think you want the next Lufia to be a Wii U game or do you still want virtual console ports of Lufia I and II?

"Nonsense was beginning!"
