After playing for 7+ hours yesterday and 'bout an hour of today, I am in Ishe, & going to be heading north for the Dime Tower (can you believe I started in Jadd, before fighting Medusa? :P )

If anyone has any questions about Sword of Mana, please reply here.

lufiamanaelf, you were saying something 'bout the "Rocky Wilds" place.....where is that exactly? I may have passed through it while I was playing yesterday (I am playing the Boy's story currently).

I finally beat the "Boy's Story" in SoM. My only complaint for the game was none of the bosses were really that hard. Julius was way more easy than he was in FFA.

lufiamanaelf, is it the place where the fish creatures are? I remembered that you had to walk against the walls, and in some places, water would push you down a level. If you did this with all three (i think that's all), the water will drain, and you can proceed.

Hope that helps..... .....

Easy bosses? Opposite to Secret of Mana then (I couldn't finish the final boss :( )... ;)

I believe the final boss in SoM was the Mana Dragon, no? You needed to cast Mana Magic on the boy (One of Dryad's spell, the one that looks like a sword). You'll need both the girl & the sprite to cast the same magic, or it won't work. That's the only way the Dragon can be hurt.

Just recast the spell when needed, and heal. That should work.

In addition to the easy bosses, another problem with SWoM is that the NPC AI for attacking (not magic) just plain sucks. The magic AI, however, is dead on.

Yeah, I knew how to kill it... I just messed up. :)

I didn't get round to challenging it again... the Mana Fortress was sooo long! :)

I have recently beaten SoM... Getting the magic up to level 8:99 is hard, but for as cool as the spells look, it's worth it...

I dunno, I kinda found the SWoM bosses hard, but mainly the magic-based bosses since I can't be arsed to level my magic beforehand. lol

I've made it up to the mana sanctuary, but I'm thinking of "going back" and leveling. (Going back as in using the save file that I kept before passing the point of no return)

I personally was really, really disappointed with this game. I found the characters too trite, the save points few and far between, and there were so many extras that I had no interest in devoting time to any one of them.

I liked the story a lot though. It was surprisingly good, way better than what I had expected.
