Lufia I!

I think the story's more fun if you play Lufia I first. If you start with Lufia II, the in media res part of Lufia I doesn't really have its effect.

My first game was Lufia I. Cobes and myself had a discussion a while back that we were some of the only Lufia fans that played it when it came out on SNES.

Lufia I, back in the day when I wasn't allowed to play my brother's RPGs... Lufia II is what really made me love it.

Same here....

Mannen ze zien een knappe vrouw en gelijk hangt hun tong op de grond.

Don't know what that line is in the english version, but It's when Maxim and party (Tia, Guy) see Selan for the first time

The best line in the entire game....

Eh.. you confused
Tia: Mannen! Ze zien een keer een knap gezichtje en ze lopen al te kwijlen!
with
Tia (to Maxim): Wat bedoel je? Jij bent geen haar beter. Je tong hing zowat op de grond!

Anyway, it's "Men! One look at a pretty face and you're all jellied!" in the English version.

Well, I translated it using SYSTRAN and it said "Men they see a nice woman and right hangs their tongue on the ground." XD

So that means Guard Daos doesn't play any English version of Lufia because it's translated :P

...oops...

Alright, let me rephrase that. I prefer not to reading, watching, or playing translated stuff, but if I don't understand the original version, I choose the one nearest to the original!

In any case... IMO: English > Dutch.

I don't like that they changed the German translation, it's so different of the English and Dutch translations (don't know about the Spanish translation because I can't read Spanish) it's like everyone wants to be Dekar <_< And they also changed like every name of NPC's and towns. (EDIT: AND THEY MADE ARTEA A GIRL <__<)

I'm only against translations when they make beauty errors (eg. In the Dutch version Artea being called Arty during battles(don't know if it's the same in the other language version)). And never found a copy of the English version around here. So that's is why I always played the dutch version.
