Petitions hardly, if ever, work (one rare exception is in the case of Kim Possible, Season 4). And why petition Nintendo, anyway? Petitioning Nintendo won't do a **** thing! It's Taito (or perhaps Square, now that Square bought out Taito) that owns the Lufia franchise in the first place, so you'd have to ask them to make a new game.
Anyway, as far as RoL goes... Why am I the only one that actually likes the game...? It's not the best, no, but I thought it was pretty good overall. Haven't beaten it yet, but I still like it.
Now, TLR wasn't too bad... but the probably is that it's so repetitive. It doesn't have the puzzle-solving aspect that existed in RotS and it was basically the same thing over and over again--travel X number of floors, battle beasty, travel another X number of floors, rinse, repeat, until beating the dungeon, then head back up again and continue to the next objective.
The game's plot is another thing, as well. Now, that's not to say I didn't like it... but it was simply boring all the way until the ending. Before that it was basically "travel to new continent, beat the Sinistral, rinse, repeat," UNTIL the very ending where the whole plot is explained. However, before that, it was mostly a bore. The battles were the best part, though. I like the battle system, but it was just... the battle system got boring after a while.
ROL isn't *that* great, and it's hardly comparable to RotS, but compared to TLR I actually like it a lot better. ROL's job system is kinda corny, but it's not bad. The monster system is a pretty cool feature, too, and definitely helps early in the game when I've only got, like, one character. The battles are about on-par with Lufia 1. TLR was better battle-wise, but ROTS was probably the best. ROL did botch the IP system, though. That was best in RotS, but TLR's IP system wasn't too bad, either. Oh, and the plot seems pretty interesting (and yes, I have read later into the story), too. Probably the weakest plot thus far, but at least there's more action early on that TLR, as opposed to "rinse, repeat" all the time.
Any-way... just my thoughts. And I don't think the reason you don't have a lot of votes in the petition is because there aren't a lot of Lufia fans left. It's more likely that hardly anyone votes in petitions, and the petition seems to be only available here. There mostlikely are a lot less Lufia fans, but that doesn't mean there still aren't quite a bit left.
