Artemis64 (Gamefaqs) wrote:It's been a lot of work, but now it's finally ready. The following patch changes all the boss battles into much more challenging ones. So you better play in retry mode. (If you don't have a save, there's one included.)

The bosses now have only one goal: And that is clinging on their wretched lives. They don't want to die and they will do EVERYTHING which is necessary to stay alive. So let me say one thing:

It's hard... It's really really hard. Especially the later bosses have the potential to wipe out your entire party very very fast. You won't only need a strong party, but you also need some good strategies like wearing the right equipment and analysing and completely understanding the enemy attack pattern.

There are two versions of the patch, but the only differences are the Master, the Egg Dragon and the doom island battles. Better don't touch the "Fruely hardcore version" unless you have some ridiculously overpowered high end party which can kill everything just by glaring at it.

I hope I didn't make the final battles way too difficult. =)

However here are the patches:

I hope you will like it! And whenever you think "That's too hard! It can't get harder anymore!"... I promise you that it will...

Good luck staying alive!

I don't have time. But i might download it if i can. You don't NEED a rapid share account as far as i'm aware. You should be able to download it as a free user.

Yes, you can also download it as Free User.

However there's now a newer version with a few minor changes:

(see below for the newest version)

The only important difference is that Gold Golems can now drop Mist rapiers. That may sound incredibly pointless, but without this change you might be screwed in Gratze, if you don't have a save outside of it.

Wait? Artemis 64, were you the one who wrote the patch then?

Yes, I wrote it - with the help of Reli's expansion patch.
Otherwise I wouldn't have had the space to add the new monster data.

And his big archive was a great tutorial to learn how the monster scripts work.

Here is a newer version:

Some bugs are fixed and it's now much easier to get the better equipment and items later on.

I still believe you need to tone down Erim a LOT artemis ¬___¬;.... being given an asswhooping by her at lv99 with 999+ hp simply isn't funny >.<;

interestingly enough I did find an IP attack that does protect maxim from all damage done ;). Even dealt by Erim :P...so there!

You're talking about Erim on Fruely Hardcore mode, right?

Yeah, I agree with you there. :)

She's ridiculously powerful. That's why I made the difficult version in which she's way easier. She uses the same attack pattern, but:
- her attacks are way weaker
- she uses her strongest attacks less often

The Erim in the difficult version might be exactly the toned down Erim you wish. I also think you shouldn't have a problem because of the speed change when she goes to phase 2.

Oh, and you mean Miracle care, right? Even a very overpowered goddess has her limits. :D

like I stated before; her speed increase means she has 6 attacks in a row. My team strikes, Erim strikes x3, Erim goes to 2nd stage, Erim strikes x3 again.

Actually, her damage moves arent the issue. Nor the 6x attack really. Her absurd speed becomes a major problem, because she can remove all hp/mp/ip from basically your entire party in one sweep. I could handle it when either the mp OR the IP falls away, but not both :/...

The toned down version should also let you some MP as she mainly uses Dark Fry, Flare and Zap. Flare removes the MP and IP but only in the front row, so the characters in the back row aren't affected by it.

Her Eerie light (which she uses right after changing into a new phase instead of Dark fry) is also toned down very much as it doesn't have the ability to cancel all your status uppers.

In the first turn of phase 2 she'll high likely use Eerie light, Flare and Zap. I'd say it's the best to use magic in the back row and the front row ones can use Miracles. Though the back row ones can also use a Miracle instead of magic.

I only played the hardcore version artemis, you know that.

Eerie light taking away any stat uppers (including the Wave Motion) is one HUGE piece of information you neglected to inform me (and the others) of. It's also not in the readme file...
