It happened to me several times. After I reported it, though, it never happened again. I'm thinking it was just an odd emulation bug. I was using RetroArch 1.3.6 with Snes9X core. Seems like it happened more often when I used the turbo feature to speed up emulation.

Okay, swordmaster, one last try about that bug:

Did you, by any chance, come from one of the following places before the bug happened:
- bridge cave
- Boundary Kingdom
- North Dungeon

And is the last in-game save, by any chance, from either boundary kingdom or the North dungeon?


However, as I messed with the puzzle logic in these places, the only way I can imagine something going wrong there is trying to use a in-game save from vanilla at the modifiede version and vice versa. So, you did not, by any chance and ridiculous coincidence, use an in-game save from one of these places made long ago in the vanilla version???

Hmm... I honestly don't know. I save very often, but I rarely reset. It is possible the last time I loaded a save was around that part of the story. Also, it is possible I just came from Boundary Kingdom after buying Bronze Swords for capsule monsters. But I have no way of knowing for sure. Plot-wise, I noticed it around the time you can explore the entire ocean for the first time. Oh! I also forgot to mention the same exact bug happened again while fighting White Dragons on the small island next to Elcid. I was trying to get a fruit, though I don't remember which. It wasn't a Holy Fruit, though, because I was hoping to avoid monsters of that level. But that was the last time I experienced that "glitch". Interestingly, I was forced to load a battery save because I accidentally saved a state instead of loading a state when the game crashed. So you might be on to something.

Nah, the other person with that glitch couldn't confirm this. So that's that.

Any chance to reproduce this glitch? Maybe using turbo often. You're doing another playthrough anyway, right? Just make a savestate then immediately!

And you don't have that accidentally made savestate any more?

I'm tired of Lufia for now. It might be quite a while before I get back to it. But I always do eventually.

How did the sound issues listen concretely? Was it the same sound effect repeating over and over again? And not stopping at all until the freeze? And possibly going on even after the freeze?

Someone knows the reason that make the item drop icon appear with many type or colours after battle?
It's go from normal, black, mixed palette, invisible, etc

Am I supposed to first patch the rom with one of the 3 .ips from the /projects/ folders then use the .ips from /patches/ as I wish? The stupid amount of ips is not what I call user friendly but whatever. My suggestion is if it possible to make these patches all into one, something like the Alltp randomizer, turning the patches into simple checkboxes into the main hack/project. Thanks.

The project patches are complete packages with everything included. The patches folder you can ignore perfectly fine.
