Glad it works now. :)

About the bosses: Yes, the boomerang is really awesome at the beginning. Otherwise Lizard Man would be a real pain, wouldn't it?

Big Catfish is tougher, however. Especially if you don't have the Eagle Rock.

Technically the Goblins and the Skeleton right before Tia joins are bosses, too, even though there's only regular battle music. But they aren't so dangerous, anyway.

Regal Goblin is harder now as well. However, he's nothing compared to Camu or Tarantula. ^_^

Just came to camu... I have no idea how to nail him yet, that desperation move that kicks in later on gets me every time. I can only hope that, when he starts using it, he's almost dead... but so far, no succes whatsoever yet. I noticed how my previous strategy of silencing those healers doesn't work anymore. Did find his weakness though, was hitting 150 with a thunder attack. After some levelling, I got that number to be 270 ish for both maxim and guy, making the fight go a bit faster, also meaning I don't care much for the minor heals his minions do either.

Tough cookie though!

270 ish sounds quite strong. What level are you now?

I guess one or two more hits might be enough, then.

Oh, and I forgot...

In the original US-version Artea says something about a sacred truth instead of gods at the end of the dialogue after the Venge Ghost battle.

And contrary to what I said earlier I finally changed the description of the One-Piece to make clear what it is. I guess Selan and Tia aren't wearing this: http://www.helly.ca/EN/products/124-product.cfm

Turns out I was wrong, I was nicking 200 :D

Camu was HARD. I don't think I ever died so often against a boss. Tia is the fastest character, and does my healing. The two men have the armor that can cure magic ailments, among which the petrification (forgive me incorrect use of terminology, I grew up with the Dutch version, so I might mistranslate some stuff). Problem is, Tia gets petrified and can't heal before the men can cure it, hehe. Some speed for Maxim wouldn't have hurt, and that's how I nailed it in the end. I believe I was around lvl 27 when I finished.

Just did spidey... I love the attack that you made :D Wasn't paying attention the first time, so I totally missed the 'keep attacking'. I couldn't believe it when he hit my characters for 300, as there's no way I could live that :P Lots of status ailments, of which poison was the least of my trouble- I chose to simply ignore it, but remembering Golden Sun, you could make toxic poison if possible; poison which damage increases on every turn you leave it there. That'd make the fight even harder :D

I fought the little spiders at first, but he kept resummoning them again- however, when foomy (screw blaze, he kept running away) killed one of the spiders at one point, no additional spiders were summoned until I killed the second one later. If this is intentional, I take my hat off for you; I assumed it was pointless killing them, after fighting regal and camu :P The camu treasures were pretty much invaluable in this fight. At one point, all Guy did was heal with either the armor or hi-potions, while the other two hacked away with the fireblade and spark. I don't think I ever deviated from the 'Tia heals, men go pewpew' before :D

Awesome job so far, but it'll be some time before i can continue; exam and metal festival coming up. Really enjoying it though!

Tony

EDIT: I thought they meant something like this with a one-piece: http://nl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bestand:Sv ... bruysk.jpg

It was intended that the Spiders are called every time Tarantula has his "Ha, ha, ha." turn - as I can't waste a turn without Tarantula doing anything. ^^

And yes, I also think the one-piece is definitely a swimsuit here. Therefore I changed the description to make that clean - though even in the Japanese version it says just something like woman's clothing.

God, those clowns are harsh... I managed to kill the first one, and only once at that... but Selan keeps either dying or getting confused, and can never use the aqua whip (think it was that one, anyways)... any tips? She's only 29 though, where the rest is halfway in their thirties.

You might want to give Selan the right equipment so that she can't get confused.

By the way, did you get some boss monster drops?

None, I'm affraid- not that I can think of anyways. And I'll look for that gear then, I remember having the one that can cure it- don't think I have something that prevents it... thanks!

That's fine! :D Because... Well, never mind then! :)

About the clowns... I guess this is the first battle where you really should use ailment preventing gear, though it may also be handy against Camu or Tarantula.
And, of course, the farther you progress the more negative ailments you have to handle. So it's good (and indispensable) to know how to completely block them.

I'm not sure- did these blocks exist in the original already, or did you implement them yourself? I don't recall ever using it in the past :/ Though, for that matter, I also always just equipped the strongest gear for every character I had- I never actually used a thunder-based weapon against a boss that was weak to thunder, if it had a tiny bit less attack power than a fire sword, to name something. I was young, heh :)

I'll go browse through the gear I currently already have, to see if I have something to block it (probably not) once I have some time again... wish me luck :)

These blocks already existed in the original. You can for example find a list in the Odds and Ends FAQ on GameFAQs.

And if you got every equipment part so far, you should have the gear to completely block all the ailments during the clown battles.

Clowns down- came to Gades, everyone in their 40's... and the only one that even survived Gades' first attack was Guy, and with less than 5% health left too. I'll just take for granted that I won't have the Gades Blade then, hehe :D

When I did beat him the first time I was around level 50. I think it should be possible at around level 45.
