Hmm Arek the almighty?... who's that?

Talk about anything related to the Lufia series, and ask for gameplay tips.

Yeah, a lot of creators seem to leave things relating to the world's past and certain characters' motives up in the air, with or without hinting at what it might be. I know a lot of fans of several series who make up rather convincing theories regarding the unanswered questions.

heh... I know this one guy, SquallofSeed or whatever his username is/was, he would wrote the most ridiculously long texts about FF7 and FF8 explaining why certain actions were taken in the game, certain characters became who they are etc etc, refering to mythology, old japanese customs and lord knows what else. I could say I was impressed by it, but actually I found it to be horribly pitiful and a waste of time :/

Yeah, I know the feeling. As much as I would like to explain things, I can't. Its just more fun to ask anyways.

Boy, you're really missing out. At least with FF4-7.

FF games are average rpg's at best though. they are fun, entertaining, but they arent really that good. They're more overrated than chrono trigger even.

yeah, i never got to play the SNES ones and i don't want to play the Remakes on the DS.

i did play 7,8, and 9. just didn't get very far. lol

i recently got Chrono Trigger DS (never got to beat it when i had it on the SNES), and to be honest... i don't see what the big deal is/was. i mean, it's a good game, but the BEST RPG ever? no.

Not saying Chrono Trigger is the best RPG ever. It is one of the best for its time. Too bad the genre is dying though. Now days average games are promoted so well... Meh, Blue Dragon for example.

If Neverland could, the probably would accept some Arek theories. Problem is I don't think they care about bringing back Lufia in this generation. I think they believed that Lufia is truly dead.

Less about overrated RPG's and more about Arek please.

Besides, I was only joking to SinReVi's post (lol a cow, I don't want to ask what was going on in her mind).

I was little!

I don't think he is a cow anymore but I do think Arek looks like a crocodile, if you look differently at him. =P

Old picture but whatever...

He does look like a crocodile if you look at it that way!

I never had any thoughts on what he looked like when I was a kid, but I did think he looked like something not-human (heck, he is a god, I'm sure he can make himself look anyway he wants, even part animal).

Well know, I suppose it really is a mask. Or is it? Is it a full mask helmet. Is it a crown? I dunno. Still trying to come up with concept of the guy.

It's called not being able to tell pixels, my friend. One time I thought that in Kung Fu Fighters on the NES when you die you turn into roast chicken.

well..... if he indeed is the supreme ruler, we can assume he created the sword himself to determin when the time would come that humans no longer have need for gods at all?

Who knows, maybe he bought it at a gift shop in honolulu, some things are best left mysterious and unexplained.
