ROL - The farthest you've gotten in the Ancient Cave

Postby Cyrus_Soulfire » Sat Sep 20, 2003 6:28 pm

What was the deepest floor you hav gotten to in ROL in the Ancient Cave, right now is floor 34 for me.

After floor 29 or whatever it is with that one boss from Lugwa Tower, it's clear sailing from there, I've heard.

ROL's Ancient Cave is a bit different from the ones in ROS and TLR. Only one goes in, and they retain all their stats, items, and exp i hear.

Not only that, but it's multiplayer (although i hear it's not very good)

I managed to get to the Big slime at the end of Floor number 60, only for him to kill me in one hit o_O

>_>'' I was level 43 and had a Golden Core with me and even had mastered all classes. At the time my character was a Knight for the extra Hp and Defence.

How unlucky is that CS! And you couldn't save before either, huh?

You have to find the providence, then what ever floor you warped out of you can warp back into. In other words last level completed and you warped out of you can go back into. I just happened to last used the providence at floor 55 so it wasn't that bad.

I managed to beat the Big Slime/Jelly at the end of the Ancient Cave, but I think it's mainly due to the fact that I had a Cyclops Dragon with me that'd learnt Octostrike.

Man, I wish providence would do that on Lufia 2. I own LOR but I haven't gotten to go into the Cave yet. The Ancient Cave in Lufia 2 is so freakin hard. You go in without anything and everyone is at level 1. Then you get providence and leave, and then you have to start over at floor 1 again and you don't get to keep most of the stuff you find in there, unless it is in a Blue Chest.

As for saving, I'm pretty sure that in every Lufia game (not positive I've never played TLR) you save inside the church, and I know that on Lufia 2 most of the levels had a pad to save at inside them.

my personal ancient cave experience is that i try to go from the top all the time. as that way there are more opertunitys to pick up specal items such as iris water etc. however the ancient cave in rol reminded me of the dungon mode of eignzez ( thats a terrible spelling i know its that square failled beatem up game)

i hated that guy that got like 15 hits to your one and he takes off a major hit every time or he confuses you. He beat me so many times. The jelly seemd easy compared to him.

For me, it was 60... the red jelly to me is very easy, if you have heal all, ver ex-magics and fury... But I have got Gaia Sword at the 59 floor :D
