Likes:
Innovative battle system
Good storylines
Great music
CURSING IN DIALOGE! lol And I don't just mean, "Damn it" either.
Moogles!

Dislikes:
Most of the fanbase are n00bs that say "OMG FF7 IS TEH OWNZ0RZ" that haven't played anything but FF7
Most of the FF fanbase doesn't really have high regards for some of the other great RPG series' out there, such at Phantasy Star, Lufia (of-course), and, heck, even Golden Sun!
Most of the battle themes have the same intro... lol
Only two of the mainstream FF games are linked in storyline

I agree with DBAM... but he forgot about Chocobos! What would Final Fantasy be like without Chocobos?

I know what you mean about the fanbase. But I'm going to come clean... FF7 was the first Final Fantasy game I've ever played (except for Mystic Quest).

Well I love any RPG but final fantasy is well cool but the only final fantasy game I don't like is the new playstation 2 one with just girls in thats just sexist.

I gotta agree w/ the fanbase problems.

I've liked how the series has the same basic story idea in every game, but each one has a different twist (save FFX-2, FFT, FFTA, & FF:CC).

I've never played FF VII, VIII or IX, but I have played FF II (IV), III (VI), FFX, FFX-2, FFT and FFTA.

FF III (VI) is my fave, though.....

We all know that the real power of Final Fantasy as a series is because of Moogles ^_^
If you don't agree, I point you here
lol

ok other than that, for the most part, innovative systems of play (exccept for the more recent games) and good story line. CGs are good and nice looking but the overall effect of them adding to story is not as great as people say.
Things I don't like? FF8, Squall was a bum; emotionless freak, lol
I like to smile like this:
~^_______________^~

If I ever met Squall I would punch him in the face.

Anyway... ;)

Moogles remind me of Cait Sith! That was an odd character! :P
