Do you mean futuristic like FFVII was?

I don't know. I've never played FFVII (or FFVIII, FFIX for that matter).

Although I supposedly heard FFVII was futuristic.

I think Star Ocean is more like Tales of Phantasia, or any Tales series. I am not sure are they come from the same company though.
I love Star Ocean a lot, too bad that I lost its rom files (T_T)

Squaresoft didn't buy them out. They merged with Enix.

Yeah I wasn't to thrilled at that Idea, but after playing FFX-2 Alot it seems like it might not have been such a bad thing.... now I know the price for FFXI online for PC is a crime @___@.... anyway as far as star ocean goes, I heard tell there is 32 endings anyone comfirm that for me? I always lose my data before I can finish it for some fricking reason.... I think my PS has it out for me

I can't remember right off hand I know it said multiple endings on the back of the game case..., but it is all hinged on the private action things

Different endings adds a lot of replay value to a game.

Yes, and it all lies on the group(the people you take), how they like each other, and the choices you make.

Just to give ya' all an update, the reason "Star Ocean: Till The End of Time" hasn't came out is due to Square-Enix releasing the Director's Cut version of the game (first time they've done that, eh?) into English. Hopefully it will be released August 2004 (the planned release date).

Joy!
