Nintendo @ E3 2005

Postby News System » Wed May 18, 2005 2:48 pm

GameSpy has posted an article about the Nintendo Press Conference at E3 this year. As well as revealing the Game Boy Micro, a mini-sized addition to Nintendo's handheld family, they revealed a prototype of Revolution. Nintendo didn't go into its specifications, but they did announce that not only will it play GameCube games, but you will be able to download 20 years of NES, SNES, and N64 games: this in my opinion is fantastic news.

Nintendo ended the conference with footage of the next GameCube Zelda game, now known as The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess (quite a cool name, yes?). GameSpy will be posting the movie shortly when the embargo on the game lifts (I can't wait to see it). And as we suddenly started covering Zelda as well as Lufia, I better get a section up prompto. :)

You know the HTML format of news posts ain't working on this side, eh? :P

Anyways, I read all about it. I'm really LOVING the stuff about the revolution, including the ability to download games for previous consoles. I just hope Nintendo follows through with it.

And how about it? 20 years, 2 billion games sold.

This year's E3 is AWSOME. The PS3 stuff is pretty nifty (FFVII intro recreation movie), but all this Revolution stuff is securing my purchase.

I've always wondered why it didn't work :P
And the Revolution sounds good.

That means I could play Lufia I and II! OMG! Have they hinted an approximate selling price?

I dunno. I don't know what the scope of it will be, as it could be just Nintendo games or Nintendo best sellers. We dunno.
