Estpolis DS - Gameplay

Postby News System » Wed Nov 18, 2009 9:03 pm

More news =P
Estpolis DS is an Action RPG remake of the second Lufia game. An official site with trailer will be opened on November 25.

Anyway, some news about the gameplay!

Gameplay takes place on the top screen and the dungeons will have puzzles in them. The bottom screen shows a map and also faces of your partymembers. If you tap on them you'll be able to switch the person you're playing/fighting as. You'll also need to switch characters to be able to make some of the combos and to finish dungeons.
When you get in a boss battle, both screens will be used for the action. And I think that's an IP bar under the HP bar =P

Aww, I wish battles were still menu-based! Sure it'll still be awesome though. :)

In other words; Square Enix gets their hands on a golden oldie and screams "REMAKE AND RELEASE ON NEW CONSOLE TO MILK IT OUT AGAIN AND DESTROY FOND CHILDHOOD MEMORIES"

F*ck you Square Enix. F*ck-YOU

I don't have anything against a new gameplay. Something fresh could work. Let's see how it works out before we judge. And that, children, is my lesson to you for today. *angelic music and halo*

*must practice more with Rune Factory or CIMA before this comes out, even though she is getting better with Action games*

If you really want to hone your gamer skills and reflexes, then download I Wanna Be the Guy: The Movie, the Game. If you can beat it, then you can beat anything.

Too extreme for me...I'll probably just stick with Neverland's games. I have a low patience threshold that does get higher if I am interested in the game/characters/story...

I wanna be the guy is a game full of hatred, that's what it is xD

I personally don't mind the remake to be action based. I mean, the tales-of saga is all action-rpg and it's great, better than many turn based rpg's.
With great power comes great responsibility
