Fake Cima

Postby Dekar The Great » Fri Jul 22, 2011 10:00 pm

Ok, so today I was bored and was thinking about playing CIMA: The Enemy... however, of the two copies of the game that I have, I could only find the "fake" one.

When I was in India, I went to a game store... and I happened to come across a cartridge of CIMA, I quickly bought it as I had never played it before and wanted something to
play while on vacation. However, when I started the game up... I was greeted.. with this... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1LcF1ijCoqc.

To make things worse, after playing halfway thru the game and shutting the game off, all progress was deleted... it was then that I realized that this cartridge fails to save data.

Anyways, many years later I found a real copy of CIMA: The Enemy and besides the games in the Lufia series, CIMA holds a place in my top 10 games list.

I honestly hope you "enjoy" that crazy orange-juice intro as much as I did...

Just imagine my surprise to find something like that in a cartridge version lol. I was like.. "This.. is CIMA?..."

Also, I forgot to mention that the cartridge art for this specific CIMA: The Enemy game has a picture of Ark alongside the CIMA logo and also
has a RP (Rating Pending) ESRB rating in the bottom right hand corner.

Anyhow... lesson learned, don't buy games from India =P.

Oh, Mode 7 ROM's I remember having a few of those long ago. Especially Super Mario All Stars for the SNES.

Am happy I brought my copy off a legitimate source (forgot where...). I know I saw that once in an (as of now incomplete) LP's intro, but the ROM I use doesn't have it either.
