Riviera: The Promised Land (GBA)

Postby Naminé » Sun Jun 26, 2005 1:43 am

Atlus is bringing this game over to the U.S. on June 28th. It's developed by Sting (Evolution series, etc.).

It's like a normal RPG, but w/ a neat little battle system (kinda reminds me partially of CIMA, for some reason).

I'm really thinking about getting it, due to the kicka** trailer on NP's E3 2005 DVD, and that Atlus's games are usually hard to find after a while.

Plus, it has voice acting! How much better can you get?

Which one? Nintendo Power? That review was utter crap, IMO.

Maybe not gameplay-wise, but some of the art style seems similar for some reason.

BTW, I am going to try to get the game when it comes out in a few days, so I'll let you guys know how it is (it can't be worse than Lufia IV, so.....).

Because Lufia IV doesn't exist. You probably mean Lufia RoL :P

I think it looks more like Spectral Force : Radical Elements.

Dunno. Atlus has been making more than one print run of this game (unusual for them), so they might release it over there.

*still waiting for enough money to buy this game x_x*

Well I bought it while I was in Canada. I haven't played it yet, because I bought a whole bunch of other cheap games while I was out there too! ;)

But I might give it a whirl today. :)

FYI I found it in EB Games.

The people talk too much in this game. At least it gets more interesting when you meet Lina and Fia (not Lufia :P) I am somewhere in a castle or something.

Man, I go to my local EB all the time, and I've never seen it there. It must be a Vancouver curse or something, not getting the rare games.

I only ever saw it the one shop. I think you can order it from Wal-Mart's online shopping site though. :)
