AmbrMerlinus wrote:A man walks into a restaurant, orders albatross, takes one bite, then shoots himself in the head.

Why?

What does he shoot himself with? What type of gun and bullet?

I guess I'll take over that riddle, since Merlinus hasn't shown herself for a LONG time. Only I'd like to change a small detail: he orders camel meat, not albatross. That's the way I know it.

Now then, if you want to find out the answer, you have to ask yes or no questions. I'll answer them, and they'll help you uncover the truth...

First, I'll give a hint: the man's wife had died a year before the incident in the restaurant.

Another hint: the first questions you need to ask need to be posed about the incident in which the wife had died.

And to Jumpgo692003 (What's with the wacky number? 0.o), what type of gun he shoots himself with is irrelevant. Just a gun. Good thinking, though.

Did it have something to do with "The Last Supper" or what it's called?

"The Last Supper"? Is that a movie or something?

Whatever it is, it doesn't have anything to do with this.

Let's see:

What camel? The one he ate? No...

Glitched wrote:Was there no food nearby?

Yes! Very important! There was no food nearby when his wife died.

Glitched wrote:Did the man eat his wife and so she died?

Believe it or not... Yes. The man ate his wife. But that's not how she died. That did get you a lot closer to the truth, however. But now you have to find out why. Even if you'd be really hungry, you wouldn't just eat your wife, would you? You need to find out why he ate her.

Glitched wrote:Did the man eat the camel?

Now you're already assuming there was a camel present when his wife died. It's true, though. There was indeed a camel involved. But in answer to your question: no. The man did not eat that camel.

You're already very close, though. Think it through! :D

Well I cant seem to get a logic reasoning but it seems to me the guy shoot himself at the restaurant because he ordered camel, took a bit, and realised the thing he ate was his wife. Simply because there wasnt any food nearby or something

She was probably dead by then (so he didnt kill her by eating her)

Anyway this may spoil the riddle but I can't seem to get to the answer :P

(((If you want to know how you coulkd have made me stop before I spoiled the riddle, check out the quest /answer lufia style bit :P

You've as good as solved it.

If you still want to think about it, then don't read what's stated below:

(highlight to read)
A year ago, the man and his wife were travelling with a group in the desert. They ran out of food supply, and his wife died of hunger. The others decided the only way to survive was to eat her. They served him his wife's meat, and told him it was camel meat. A year later, the man orders camel, takes a bite, and realises that the taste is different. It then hits him: he had eaten his wife a year ago. He then commits suicide.
