As of this past Monday (October 5th, 2009). i never would've thought Square would do that, guess they want a little more money for FFXIII eh? lol

either way i've never played it, and for $5 i think i'll check it out, so anyone have any input about the game?

Old news. I heard it since May, I think.

the reason they did this, aside of milking out more of the franchise, is so they can ban roms again.

See, there's this little thing in the laws that does allow someone to download a ROM, as long as the game in question is no longer available in stores and is not released for a different console. This is pretty much a good reason why all those old games were re-released on different platforms.

Sad but true. Though the NES ROMs really are different from the ROMs remade on Virtual Console ect. Techically, VC games are called "ports" not ROMs, even if they modified the original game.

Though I am glade that SE still has no interest in Lufia. At least we can still keep sharing its SNES greatness.

Good luck with FF on VC. I'm perfectly happy with Origins for PS. I miss the ineffective attacks, sadly.

Like Lufia and the Fortress of Doom? Wait, that was ported to mobile phones I forgot.

Also, I am going to sexual intercourse god smack the lawyers at Nintendo who fear for Earthbound's re-release. Apparently pop culture references violates any and all copyright laws.
