So! Who's getting a copy?

Postby Guard Daos » Fri Feb 26, 2010 1:00 pm

The big day has come. So, who'll be actually buying the game?
I pre-ordered the game, myself. Japanese or not. It's a good feeling knowing I'll have the game before Sinrevi, in any case.... hehe.

I'll give it a bit first. If it gets released in English, I'm gonna get that. If there's no announcement by June, I'll be looking for it when I go to my anime con (they've got import game stores in the Dealer's Room most of the time, and if I can find it there I save on shipping costs). If I don't get it there and it doesn't get announced soon after...will import.

Although I'm looking forward for this, I'll give it some time first. When a rom of an English version comes out, I'll give it a try on the computer first so there.

I don't really miss the world map actually... I used to hate point&click world maps because it takes away some exploration, but then I thought point&click world maps were ok after wasting time on world maps because I was lost =P

Anyway, I just revisited the Tanbel Mine to check for hidden treasures and those green stones I might have missed. I actually found a few =P

It's not just exploration, the world map helps you get into the story, feeling like you are on a journey, travelling is a part of the game. Point&click maps take that away, now the game is a collection of missions, it's kind of awkward.

I don't say there should be a complete world map like the ones in the old school RPGs (that would make no sense on an Action-RPG, I admit that), but it would be cool to have some paths/maps connecting cities with each other, just like Secret of Mana, Zelda or whatever.

My copy of Estpolis DS is also on the way! *_* (but no bonus cd D: ).
It's incredible, but I got strains in my arms und legs because I'm so excited. The last times I felt like that because of games were back then when Lufia:TRL and Sword of Mana came out. XD
I'd estimate that the game could be here the next 14 days, I just hope that I won't have to pay customs. ._.°

I wrote down the menu-options translated on a piece of paper to get into the title as quick as possible, as my Japanese-skills are only some months old.

Hehe. I'll be sure to let you two know if it's worth getting a DS for.
