You are correct. Since the very beginning, I have been trying to see every bit of dialogue I can find. Including going places before I'm supposed to, and returning to earlier places after events to see if any dialogue had changed.

Actually you were right and switching the two attacks did it for Gusto. That's the only instance something goes wtrong with the CM attacks, right?

I just found a game-breaking bug. Whenever the monster called "Merman" uses Raging Wave, first the sound breaks, then the next time you press a button the game locks up. Wasn't there a similar bug to this that was fixed?

Edit: Nevermind. I tried to replicate it on my Retry save, and it doesn't break the game. Apparently it only happens if you're playing Gift mode, which normally you'd never see a Merman, so it's all good.

Which emulator are you using? By any chance bsnes in performance mode?

I wish. All forms of Bsnes run poorly on my cheap laptop. I'm using RetroArch with Snes9x core.

Can you replicate the bug?

I'd say it sounds like an emulator issue, though.

I've only been able to replicate it in Gift mode. It seems to work fine in the normal game. Also, it doesn't always crash. Just most of the time (in Gift). The issue seems to be with Gift mode only, as far as I can tell.

Edit: If I see it again, I'll try to get a savestate.

Btw you had to use some cheat code to fight Mermen in Gift Mode, eh? Which cheat codes did you use? And were any of them still active when it happened?

Also which exact version (of version 3) are you playing? What is the exact date listed in the readme?

I'll try to finish up this week. Ran into a couple more lines of dialogue written as though English was not the primary language of the speaker. I will probably be posting those tomorrow, when I have more time. Oh, and that "glitch" I found was probably emulator-related. I will test more thoroughly next time before I jump to conclusions (i.e. test on a different emulator, etc.).
