Best Final Fantasy Game

Postby Chris » Thu Feb 26, 2004 5:14 pm

Yup... we all saw this topic coming sooner or later.

Which Final Fantasy game is your favourite (there are too many games for a poll)?

Mine would be either 7,8, or 10...

You graphics pimp. lol

My favories lie in the 2-D world; a tie between 5 and 6!

Me too - it's amazing and the sphere grid I suppose, is a good idea - i still prefer leveling up though so you can say like "I am level 40 beat that!" and with the sphere grid all you can do is say "I'm going well with the sphere grid". Do you know what I mean like?

The main downside of Final Fantasy X is its linear gameplay. They certainly fixed that in X-2!

FFX was kind of an interative movie...too much cinematics...
The best has to be FF6, i still play it on my SNES hehehe

I don't think cinematics are really that bad... I helped me get into the story.

i personaly disagree with you all.final fantasy 6 for me was both a classic and a epic. it just had the right storyline. even though i do think it lacked that certain something towards the end. with final fantasy 7 i personaly found that it was a rehash of the same ideas that where in 6.

So how are you disagreeing with all of us?
I think a couple (including me) of us said that FF6 was the best...

i am simply disagreeing with the people who have been enticed via the so called graphical superiority of the newer final fantasy games. the real point i was trying to make was that the genreal storylines and characters are not as good as the older titles. do not get me wrong i do like ff7 much more then other titles. i was just saying i can see many cross over elements that are specific to 6 that has been taken into sevens storyline.

Graphics aren't everything! I just haven't had the opportunity to play many of the older FF games. :P

They should just re-make 5&6 into 3D games and fix the problems with them... that'd be much better.
