Sword of Mana is actually the remake of Final Fantasy Adventure, the prequel to Secret of Mana. As far as I know, the game is pretty much like SoM, with a few differences. It's good if you don't mind the sub-par graphics and sound.

I bought this game about 3 months ago. I'm almost near the end, but I haven't played it for a while.

It's not as good as Seiken Densetsu 3 (Secret of Mana 2), but it's pretty good.

I've played all the way through Final Fantasy Adventure, so I there's something just cool about the way they remaked it.

GamePro & GameSpy bashed it, since it's not up to par with the kind of games they like (don't at all agree with their scores- seems like they are FPS-only minded, but that's just my view). You'll get more out of it if you played FFA, but it's still enjoyable.....

It will seem like a very simple game at first, but you'll be amazed at how many secrets they cramed into the game.

It's well worth the money to buy this game, since you'll be able to get some replay value (since there's two characters you can pick at the beginning).

You won't be dissapointed!

I haven't played Secret of Mana 3, but if it is similar to Seiken Densetsu 3. Then it should be good :)

Seiken Densetsu 3 is really good!! but a bit hard when I can't understand the Japanese. Is there an English version? (sorry off topic here...)

Looks like I might get Sword of Mana then! I've never played Final Fantasy Adventures, but it the game is anything like Secret of Mana I'm sure it would be great. By the way, I'm guessing the stories in the three Seiken Densetsu games are connected?

No, they're only saying that SoM and SWoM are connected. The rest of the game is much like FF.

(And when I say SoM and SWoM, I MEAN SoM and SWoM, NOT SoM and FFA.)

Good luck trying to find it. I got it when it first came out, and it took 3 months for my local store to get it again!

I'm not completely sure. I think it was some time around fall 2003.

And yes, it was hard. There are four places in my local mall where you can buy GBA games, and when I went to buy it, only one store had it.

(Megaman: Battle Chip Challenge is way worse right now though)

I normally buy my games from the internet. Much easier! :P
