- my mom translated the game for me ( i'm french)
- i beat the the game i was between 7-9 and i finished it without my mom so i didnt know what going on
- i beat it 2 after that and i cried at the end
- I always wanted to be like maxim when i was young and i time i went to lazerquest and named myself maxim
- I always though aguro was kicking lol
- i just beat FoD for maybe the 6-7 times maybe 10 minutes ago, ( bcuz i was to young but i played too much so i got bored of this game ) but i finished it in 2 days
- I tried TLR but dont like the battle system i nvr know if im taking the good caracter
- I HATE ROL
-In FoD I tought atrea put he's sword in his hair
- i never beat the AC on my roms but i beat it with my sister and never be able to beat it since.
- i found 1 complete set of egg dragon on FoD and 2 on RoS
-i always tought gades shield Fod wasa canon dont know why
-i want to buy a catrige of RoS
-Dekar is my favorite carater
- Lufia piss me off
- i want to know all the thing about arek and iris
-The ds version look cool , but i'd prefer a turned base
- I dream about lufia one day , i was in the place of hero in the box in FoD and lufia attack but the sound was the sound of a monster attacking kinda weird...
- I always give hero the monster of look cool , like the demon or all the stuff like this.
- i was scared of the follower in FoD ( the monster of kidnap jerin ) |

I'm still curious why the decision was made to have Lufia 1 not brought out in europe, yet Lufia 2 was advertised SO HEAVILY here, not to mention translated in spanish, german, dutch, and italian (not sure about french). Really, it was odd. _________________ Gordo Gades defeated in 19 minutes, party lv22, pt1!

Do I have any confessions? Can't say that I do... It wasn't as big of a part in my childhood as it was for most of you ._. (I didn't start playing games regularly until I was 10)
- But my first memory of Lufia II was when my childhood friend was playing it.... and I remember that a Zombie was "chasing" Maxim in a dungeon. XD
- I can say that Lufia II is one of my first RPGs, though... but I had already known the basics of what an RPG is so I didn't have any silly thoughts and just went with the flow |D;;
- I don't own any of the games... I played them on Emus...
- I never got to finish TLR... the computer got virus attacked. =/ |

I seem to have missed this topic
- I was gifted with lufia 2 by santa
- I took a years break from it cos i couldnt figure out a puzzle in treasure shrine
- The catfish is the boss ive versed the most
- I once ran into a baby frog and it turned out to be erim.....and freaked out
- squids use to scare the hell out of me
- i doubled my money at aluze casino by putting a weight on the snes keypad and walk away
- Ive lost hundreds of hours in the ROS ancient cave but never beaten it
- i still have the snes lufia 2 cartridge in perfect working condition
- ive had a drawn lufia pic on my wall for almost a decade now
- Ive always loved Gratze
- Dekar pioneered my liking for badass heros
- I dont know anybody who has heard of lufia
- I used to think artea was a girl
- I have never tasted green tea
- ive have a photo on my phone of all the members of ROS in gift mode
- ive played lufia 2 100 times but only every other lufia once
- i thought the end of lufia 2 was an intro to TLR
- it took my half of TLR to get the wave system
- I made it right up to the last boss battle in ROL but gave up due to impatience
- I had no idea there was a lufia strategy guide until reading it from sinrevi's post just a second ago _________________ give me a moment so i can think up a good idea |

My turn!
- I remember watching my dad play Lufia 2 as a kid wishing so badly I could play it. I was never allowed to until I wished on a wishing chip that my dad would let me play it. (When my sister and I were kids, we wished on the curly potato chips.)
-I always needed help with the tarantula and the red and yellow block puzzle as a kid.
-My first Lufia themed dream was me walking to the store and meeting Maxim, Dekar, and Guy in sprite form at the store.
-I learned a few life lessons from Lufia 2. Like that a woman's tears means more than a man's, and that real love is inseparable, even in death.
-I always had a pretty decently sized crush on Selan.
-After all these years I've never gotten all the dragon eggs, and I just recently beat the Ancient cave using save states and killing myself to beat the Master 'cause I didn't have the Gades' Blade.
-I needed a walkthrough for the worlds hardest puzzle.
-When I first heard MoAbi's Lufia 2 Medley I couldn't stop smiling, and I cried a bit during the triumphant ending.
-Foomy has always been my main capsule monster, and I think it high time that he gets a plush... I'd totally buy one.
-I hated Lufia 1 the first time I played it 'cause it looked nothing like Lufia 2 and Hero moved sooo slow! Oh, and poison affected you outside of battle.
-I've never beaten the Ruins of Lore, and I admit, I loved how it looked when I first saw it, but I quickly stopped 'cause I realized it had nothing to do with the main story.
-I've only recently just started playing The Legend Returns, on a rom, with cheats. I only want to play it for story.
-Right now my computer is completely Lufia themed. My recycle bin when empty is an open chest, and when it's full it's a closed chest, and when I empty it it plays the "you just got a treasure" bit. All my sounds are from the game, and my sign in screen is the new Selan artwork.
-A few years back I always referred to Lufia as "an under-appreciated legacy of incomplete endeavors." Due to the fact that TLR and ROL were given such second rate treatment, and all the incomplete fangames here.
-My biggest confession that I'm also most proud of: When I was about 14 my friends and I would stay up late telling lufia themed stories, RPing, and playing imaginary games...the one I remember most was us fighting the giant catfish...which felt so much cooler than fighting the catfish in the game 'cause we were in the water while trying to avoid him and get a hit in.
I suppose that's it for now... glad I got those of my chest. _________________ Advent Shadows RP |

That sounds like fun. My friends and I used to play imaginary games where we were characters from Lufia ourselves, though usually crossed over with other game series (at least one). Your story brought back such memories of those days... _________________

I guess it's my turn. My first game was The Fortress of Doom. Me and Cobes had a discussion once that we were probably the only people who played it when it came out, being that we are both older than the current generation.
I own all original copies of the Lufia games except the newest DS one.
I hated looking for the metal for the ship in the caves in FoD.
I reached level 99 in those caves.
I gathered the dragon eggs many times.
I always walk the same path inside the Fortress of Doom every time. I never open any of the treasure there. I go strait in and off to the final battle.
I think the Maxim battle animation in FoD is way cooler than the one in Lufia II. Dual welding swords rock.
Lufia and the FoD is still my favorite.
I've beat the FoD without anyone dying in my party.
I can beat Gades in Lufia II on the first encounter to win his sword.
I've beat every Ancient Cave I've met.
I've secretly wanted to write a Lufia story.
I listen to Lufia music when I work out.
In the online game Final Fantasy 11, I had the characters Jerin, Erim, Selan, Melphis,Milka and Maxim for 5 years until i quit playing a few years ago.
I've beat every Lufia game with everything completed. _________________ stupid is as stupid does

You two were so lucky. I was stuck with living through annoying half-ass Dragon Ball Z RP's. Though the Pokemon RP's were kick ass.
Speaking of Lufia RP... *groans* I don't care if it's new or not, I just want to finish one. |

Let me think...
-Never completed Lufia 1. I just haven't had the time
-I WORSHIP the boss battle themes on every Lufia game I've played - and the boss theme on the Legend Returns has got to be the best one and it's not out there anywhere except in remixes.
-I can not be bothered to do the AC any time soon in my life.
-When Dekar joined, his stats seemed like a complete copy of Guy's. I loved his character, but his stats...like Guy, he had no magic. Like Guy, he had huge physical attack and defence. He just had a little bit more.
-I never really liked RoL. Battle system is too blasted slow.
-I find the randomly-generated dungeons in Legend Returns to be mostly pointless and unimaginative, especially considering the puzzles of Lufia 2.
-When I first played Lufia 2, I stopped at the tarantula boss and left the game for about a year. I then came back, beat the tarantula with NO FIRE WEAPONS, which took ages, and every other boss seemed piss-easy.
-I never worked out how to properly feed any of my capsule monsters until I completed the game and looked through a walkthrough.
-I always had a ton of stuff in Lufia which I picked up and never used. For years on end, I thought the Swing Wing revived you outside battle. Course it doesn't. |
