The official site has been updated today!
Gordovan's bridge has been added to the map and there's a new wallpaper in the multimedia section. And another track has been added to the web drama!

The OST site has also been updated, you can listen to 10 more samples now, and a few samples of the remixes that are on the second disc.

And Estpolis scored 7/8/7/8 (30/40) in Famitsu =P

Square-Enix has opened a website for the OST (Original Sound Track) that is going to be released on 3 March. The first CD contains music from the game, and the second disc is a bonus disc which has 6 drama tracks and I think the other 14 tracks are remixes.
Besides that, Square-Enix is also releasing a game guide (192 pages).

The official site has been updated. You can now listen to a drama track about Tia (in the web drama section). I also uploaded it on youtube.

This is just a quick note to wish all of our visitors the very best for 2010. In terms of Lufia, this is set to be a rather exciting year with the upcoming release of Estpolis: The Lands Cursed by the Gods. Square Enix have not yet announced a release of the game outside of Japan, but all our fingers are crossed in the hope that eventually there will be one. And if there isn't, well, we should just all go learn Japanese!

I'd also like to take this opportunity to thank SinReVi for her excellent coverage of the game on this site thus far. We all appreciate it!

Japan will also get a CD, it contains 3 drama tracks and 5 music tracks (I think they're remixed versions): Opening Theme, Battle#2, Sky theme, For The Savior of those on Earth and the Final Battle.

Estpolis DS is an Action RPG remake of the second Lufia game. An official site with trailer will be opened on November 25.

Anyway, some news about the gameplay!

Gameplay takes place on the top screen and the dungeons will have puzzles in them. The bottom screen shows a map and also faces of your partymembers. If you tap on them you'll be able to switch the person you're playing/fighting as. You'll also need to switch characters to be able to make some of the combos and to finish dungeons. When you get in a boss battle, both screens will be used for the action. And I think that's an IP bar under the HP bar =P

More news about the new game

The new Lufia game will be released for the Nintendo DS on the 25th of February 2010 in Japan. The developer is indeed Neverland Company as I suspected =P

Unlike the previous games in the series, this will be an Action RPG instead of a turnbased RPG. It's also known that there will be 3D graphics and voice acting in the game. Besides that, the cast includes:
- Maxim - Voice actor: 中村悠一
- Selena (Selan)- Voice actor: 井上麻里奈
- Tia - Voice actor: 豊崎愛生
- Guy - Voice actor: 三宅健太
- Hydecka (Dekar) - voice actor: 浪川大輔
- Artea - voice actor: 千葉進歩
- Lexis - Voice Actor: 緒方賢一
- Iris - Voice Actor: 沢城みゆき(note: this is Iris(Airisu) from Lufia II, not Iris(Irisu) that was in Lufia The Legend Returns)
- Jimmy - Voice Actor: 杉田智和 (note: Berty and Bart's japanese names are Jimmy and Tommy)
Jamie - Voice Actor: 花澤香菜 Jamie is probably a new character because I don't remember any Jamie in the japanese version of Lufia II

You should recognize these characters if you've played Lufia II =P Sorry, I can only read katakana, so I left the voice actors in Japanese.

Guess what? A new Lufia game has been announced! There isn't much information about the game right now, except that Taito/Square Enix is the publisher and that the game is made by the people who worked on the original game, so I guess that means the developer will be Neverland Company and not Atelier Double (developer for Lufia The Ruins of Lore). It's still unknown for which platform it will be released and there's also no release date yet. According to Famitsu there should be more information coming at 19 November =D
